Learn How to Lobby and Join Padres & Jóvenes Unidos at the Capitol! 

On March 5th  (12:00pm-5:00pm): Join us for a training and learn how a bill becomes law and how to speak with legislators on the issues. The training will be held at PJU Offices, 3025 W. 37th Ave.

On March 6th (8:00am-4:00pm): Meet your senator or representative! Speak up for the bills that matter you the most and learn more about the bills they are working on. We will meet at the Central Presbyterian Church, 1660 Sherman St. and talk about the bills we want to support, and then break up into teams to take on the capitol!

We'll also:  

• Lobby our Senators and Representatives – asking them to support the three bills.  
• We’ll tour the capitol and watch the proceedings.
• Go back to the church at noon and have lunch with some of our elected officials.
• Go back to the capitol to meet one on one with our own elected officials or we’ll go to a committee hearing where they will be debating many different bills that will impact all of us.

*You do not have to attend both days to participate, please note your availability on the RSVP form!

Marzo 5th, (12:00pm-5:00pm): Aprende sobre cómo se convierte un proyecto de ley y la ley y cómo hablar con los legisladores sobre los temas. En las oficinas de Padres & Jóvenes Unidos - 3025 W. 37th Ave.

Marzo 6th, (8:00am-4:00pm): ¡Conozca a su senador o representante! Obtenga más información sobre las que están trabajando.Nos reuniremos en la Iglesia Central Presbiteriana, 1660 Sherman St. y hablar sobre las facturas que queremos apoyar, y luego dividirse en equipos para asumir la capital!

Bueno, también:

• Invitamos a nuestros Senadores y Representantes - pidiéndoles que apoyen los tres proyectos de ley.
• Vamos a recorrer el capitolio y ver los procedimientos.
• Regresen a la iglesia al mediodía y almorzan con algunos de nuestros funcionarios electos.
• Vuelva al capitolio para reunirse uno a uno con nuestros propios funcionarios electos o iremos a una audiencia del comité donde debatirán muchos proyectos de ley diferentes que impactarán a todos nosotros.
