Parent members with Padres & Jóvenes Unidos spent over a year analyzing the cafeteria environment and school lunch in 16 schools in the Denver Public Schools district (DPS) - 8 schools in southwest Denver and 8 schools in more affluent, predominantly White communities in Denver. The findings and undeniable evidence of inequity were published in the Health Justice Report II. Since the report release and October rally, DPS has begun to implement district-wide changes - including 5 food quality audits at random schools each week.
