Boletin Update by Padres & Jovenes Unidos
Volume 5, Issue 2
March 9, 2010
On February 26th, over 200 parents and students celebrated the arrival of West Denver Prep to Northwest Denver. This celebration capped a two year effort by parents and allies seeking college preparatory schools for their children, located in their neighborhood. Northwest Denver families need and deserve middle schools that prepare students for high school and beyond! Over 250 families have spoken by filling all openings at the two new sites.
In the spirit of ensuring college prep for all - Jóvenes Unidos presented on the DREAM Act and called for parents and students to work together until the doors of higher education are finally opened to undocumented youth.
