Our Work
END THE SCHOOL TO JAIL TRACK
Suspensions and expulsions do not work, and disproportionately impact students of color. We are working to dismantle the School-to-Jail Track.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
While Latinos, as a rising minority majority, make up 37% of the electorate in Colorado, only 14% are registered to vote. We are moving our communities to speak out with the ballot.
COLLEGE PREP FOR ALL
Children have a right to a quality public education- regardless or their race, family income, or zip code. Preparing students for college without remedial courses must be a priority.
HEALTHY SCHOOLS
Good health is the foundation on which we build our lives. In order for our children to learn, to succeed, we need equal access in schools to healthy options.
IMMIGRANT STUDENTS RIGHTS
Padres & Jóvenes Unidos believes that all students regardless of immigration status deserve a high-quality education and access to higher education.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Students of color are entering early learning centers that are subpar and are not receiving the same start in education as their White/high-income counterparts.
